Amazon's Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) allows you to create network segments similar to a traditional network. PacketViper can protect instances within your VPC using Amazon's Elastic Public IP addresses (EIP).
SImply create two subnets inside your VPC. One subnet is used as a transit network and will connect to eth0 of your PacketViper instance. The other is the protected network that will host your PacketViper protected instances and connect to eth1 on your PacketViper.

PacketViper AMI Is EBS-Backed
The PacketViper AMI is EBS backed, so shutting down the instance will not result in data loss. An "EBS-backed" instance is an EC2 instance which uses an EBS volume as it’s root device. EBS volumes are redundant, "virtual" drives, which are not tied to any particular hardware, however they are restricted to a particular EC2 availability zone. This means that an EBS volume can move from one piece of hardware to another within the same availability zone. You can think of EBS volumes as a kind of Network Attached Storage
Purchasing and Licensing
Bring Your Own License (BYOL) – This option involves obtaining a license through PacketViper. Simply call 1-855-758-4737 and mention AWS licensing to one of our sales representatives. Once the license is issued it can be applied to the Amazon Instance launched through the Marketplace. With this option, there will be no PacketViper Software charges, but Amazon Usage charges will still apply.
Hourly / Annual – In this licensing option, you complete the purchase/evaluation of PacketViper entirely within the AWS Marketplace. Once the instance is launched, it will be provisioned automatically. In this option, you will be charged hourly or annually by Amazon for both the PacketViper software and Amazon Web Service usage.
